DESCRIPTION OF
PORTUGUESE COURSE
FOR FOREIGNS
The main objective of this course is to provide non-Portuguese-speaking foreigners working in Portugal with a basic knowledge of the Portuguese language that allows them to communicate on a day-to-day basis.
At the end of the course students will be able to:
- Understand simple phrases and frequent expressions related to the surrounding social environment;
- Use everyday expressions in concrete situations;
- Read short and simple texts;
- Write short narrative or descriptive texts, fill in a form or write a postcard letter or email;
- Identify yourself, introduce yourself and indicate your nationality;
- Salute employing forms of courtesy and delicacy;
- Respond to a greeting and say goodbye;
- Request, give information and advice;
- Express likes and preferences;
- Formulate, accept and decline an invitation;
- Find out about the weather, hours and times of transport;
- Narrating, relating personal experiences and events;
- Describe a person and an object.
This course has no entry requirements.
